Our Mission
Troop 242 prepares young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
History
Troop 242 was the first Girl Troop in Virginia and has a proud tradition of developing young leaders in our community. Our scouts participate in camping trips, service projects, and merit badge workshops throughout the year.
Leadership
Our troop is scout-led, with adult leaders providing guidance and mentorship. Scouts take on leadership roles within patrols and the troop, learning responsibility and teamwork.
