Who Can Join?
Scouts BSA is open to young men and women ages 11 through 17. No prior scouting experience is required.
How to Join
- Visit a meeting – Come see what we’re all about. Guests are always welcome.
- Talk to our leaders – We’ll answer any questions you and your family may have.
- Register – Complete the BSA registration and join the adventure.
What to Expect
New scouts are welcomed into a patrol and paired with experienced scouts who help them get started. Within the first few months, most new scouts:
- Learn basic scout skills
- Go on their first campout
- Start working on rank advancement
- Make new friends
Costs
Annual dues cover registration with the BSA, Boys’ Life magazine, and troop supplies. Additional costs for camping trips and uniforms are kept affordable. Scholarships are available – no scout is turned away for financial reasons.
